(mylbsonline.com/Liberia/Nov.22/2013) President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is calling for the implementation of the documents adopted at the 2nd Africa-Arab Summit held in Sirts, Libya in 2010.

The documents are the Africa-Arab Partnership Strategy and the Africa-Arab Joint Action Plan 2010/2016.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “The documents’ objective remains very significant.”

She welcomed the report of the 2nd Summit of African-Arab Ministers of Agriculture and food, and called for follow-up action for its realization.

The Liberian Leader made the statement recently when she addressed the 3rd Africa-Arab Summit in Kuwait.

She wants Arab and African Leaders advance new ideas and concepts, not just for Africa and the Arab World, but for all humankind.

“Liberia and the rest of Africa have always enjoyed good and friendly relations with the Arab World, and have always supported Arab cause in international forums,” the President also noted.

The 2013 Summit, held under the theme, “Partners in Development and Investment,” adopted a resolution to advance the achievement of the aims of partnership.
