(mylbsonline.com/Liberia/Dec.17/2013) A 40-bedroom dormitory project, valued at $US 7,000 is to shortly be constructed in Totota, Bong County.

When the dormitory is constructed, it would accommodate hundreds of students from Geu-Nwolaila District and surrounding areas in Gbarpolu County residing in Totota.

The disclosure was made recently in an interview with Gbarpolu County Electorial District #2 Representative, Malai Gouto-Gbogar, following a two-day development tour of the county.

According to Representative Gouto-Gbogar, the project is her personal initiative.

She told mylbsonline that she was encouraged to undertake the project by her love for the several Gbarpolu County youths who see the proximity of and life in Totota as their only hope for higher education.

The Gbarpolu County Lawmaker further noted: “The gesture is also intended to buttress the Liberian Government’s quest to providing quality education for all of its citizens.”

Representative Gouto-Gbogar further noted: “The building is expected to be completed in 2014.”

She then urged her fellow Gbarpolu County lawmakers to continue assisting national government by undertaking meaningful projects to develop the county.
