(elbcradion.com/Liberia/Wed, Sept. 10, 2014)-The Liberian Government is urging local health workers to call-off their strike and support national efforts to eradicate Ebola from the country.According to the Government, arrangements were underway to address the health workers’ plights.

Information Minister, Lewis Brown, made the call at a press briefing Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Monrovia.

Minister Brown re-emphasized: “Negotiations were ongoing with international partners to ensuring that health workers get their just benefits and incentives.”

“Strike actions should be avoided, because such action, during this critical period, could be equated to signing death warrant for the Liberian people,” he also said.

“Government was taking the health workers’ concerns seriously as they are very important in the war against the Ebola Virus,” the Liberian Information Minister added.
