(www.elbcradio.com/Liberia/Oct. 17, 2014)-Health workers in Lofa County are expected to receive US$50,000 risk benefits from the Christian Health Association of Liberia(CHAL) and its international partners.

The Executive Director of CHAL, Patricia Kamara, said “The decision to allocate the US$50,000 risk benefits was based on the reduction in the Ebola infection rate in the county”.

She said the amount is earmarked for private and public health workers, including those assigned with 47 health facilities being operated by CHAL across Liberia.

“Such effort is credited to the dedication of health-care workers in most parts of Liberia,” Madam Kamara said.

She made the disclosure Tuesday, October 14, 2015 in an interview in Monrovia.

The CHAL Executive Director is meanwhile commending its partners for the gesture and encouraging the health-care workers to remain committed to their professional duty for the sake of humanity.

Madam Kamara then called on Liberians to always remind each other to wash their hands and avoid traditional practices during burial.
