(www.elbcradio/Liberia/Oct. 20, 2014)-Rights and Rice Foundation (RRF) says it is spotlighting the conflict component caused by the Ebola epidemic and solution.

According to RRF Project Coordinator, Oscar Moore, the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) and the German International Cooperation (GIZ) are supporting the combined Ebola conflict management and preventive education.

A release quotes Mr. Moore as saying: “The new Ebola crisis management approach is expected to begin among rural concession communities in Grand Bassa County soon”

He noted that the exercise will be carried out, in collaboration with the Bassa Women Development Association and other local NGOs, in the county.

RRF is already carrying out its anti-Ebola campaign in Bomi, Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount Counties, the release noted.

In an effort to step-up adequate Ebola prevention education, “The group recently distributed several Ebola preventive items in Bomi, Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount and Lofa Counties,” Mr. More further noted.

He named soap, fossil buckets and chlorine as anti-ebola materials recently distributed by RRF in mining concession communities in the five counties. RRF, a founding member of the National Civil Society Ebola Task Force, is a local Social Justice and Community Empowerment organization.

It is engaged in providing locals, especially residents of rural mining concession communities, economic and infrastructure empowerment, and Ebola preventive education.
