Africas richest to assist Liberia in Ebola fight

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Oct.20, 2014)-Africa’s richest  business man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has expressed his preparedness to assist Liberia in the fight against the Ebola virus.

Billionaire Dangote made the promise Friday, October 17, 2014 in a telephone conversation with President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

According to an Executive Mansion release, Alhaji Dangote volunteered to assist the country with medical personnel and other human and material resources.

“The Dangote Foundation will work along with the Executive Mansion to determine the specific assistance, ranging from medical personnel to other professional healthcare workers,” he said.

Also speaking during the conversation, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf thanked billionaire Dangote for the commitment and praised the Nigerian businessman for reaching out to Liberia.

Forbes Magazine ranked the Nigerian businessman as the 43rd richest person in the world and the richest man in Africa.
