Health workers resolve beating Ebola-Prez Sirleaf

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Nov. 5, 2014)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says it is with determination and courage by health workers and other Liberians that the Ebola disease is gradually being defeated.

According to President Johnson-Sirleaf, with determination and confidence, Liberia will shortly crush the Ebola epidemic and return to normalcy.

She described the partnership by the locals and Liberia’s international partners as significant to the war against Ebola.

The Liberian Leader spoke Friday, October 31, 2014 at the former opening of the newly constructed Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) in Congo Town, outside the Liberian Capital, Monrovia.

The President praised the efforts of international partners in the fight against the Ebola Virus.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “Contributions from Liberia’s international partners to the Ebola fight was a demonstration of their love and passion for the nation and its people.”

“With the continued support from the international community, Liberia was poised to returning to national healing and recovery,” she also said.

The Liberian Chief Executive later paid tribute to health workers for the role they continue to play in the Ebola crisis.
