( Nov. 13, 2014)-The Liberian Government has agreed to implement a number of recommendations advanced by the Independent Human Rights Commission (INHCR).

The Government says it will take Titus Nuwah to an advanced hospital in Ghana soon.

The Liberian Government promised to renovate and equip the West Point Clinic in his honor, but the Commission had earlier recommended the construction of a medical facility in honor of Shaki.

Information Minister, Lewis Brown, disclosed that in August this year (2014) President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf met with little Shaki family and expressed her deepest condolences.

Minister Brown said: “Government will continue appealing to Shaki’s family and others victimized by the West Point incident.”

“The President will meet with the Inter Faith Religious Council to decide benefit for the family of Shaki Kamara, Mr. Brown noted.

“All compensations for victims of the West Point shooting incident, as put forth by the INHCR, will be paid, following consultations with the Inter Faith Religious Council.”
