40 Ebola survivors discharged from Island Clinic

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Nov.13, 2014)-Forty Ebola survivors have been discharged from the Island Clinic Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU) on the Bushrod Island in Monrovia.

Deputy Information Minister, Isaac Jackson, told the Liberia News Agency that increasing number of Ebola survivors shows that the Liberian Government was striving to provide proper care for infected persons.

Deputy Minister Jackson said: “The Island Clinic’s facility was exerting tremendous efforts to save the lives of Liberians and other people infected by the virus.”

He quoted WHO’s Attai Omorutu as confirming: “The number of patients at the facility is gradually reducing.”

He lauded Dr. Omorutu and her team for their services to the country.
