(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Nov. 21, 2014)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has expressed satisfaction over the reduction in new Ebola cases in the Liberian Capital, Monrovia.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “The lack of new Ebola patients at the various Ebola Treatment Units (ETUs) suggests that the nurses and doctors are committed to their work.”

She, however, called on all Liberians to continue observing the preventive measures put into place by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.

The Liberian Leader also called on all Liberians and health workers not to be complacent in the fight against Ebola, because of the reduction in new Ebola cases.

The President also wants health workers be patient as their hazard pay and other incentives will be regular.

President Johnson-Sirleaf made the statement Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Monrovia, following her tour of several ETUs in the Liberian Capital and adjacent parts.
Areas toured by the President include the ELWA ETU “one” and “Two”, and SKD Chinese ETU in Paynesville.

Other areas the Liberian Leader visited include the Congo Town ETU and the National Ebola Command Center on 18th Street in Sinkor, among others.
