Prez Sirleaf condoles Nigeria for Amb. Ashirus death

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/December 11, 2014)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Government and people of Nigeria, following the death of Mr. Olugbenga Ashiru.

Mr. Shiru is former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria.

In the message, President Johnson-Sirleaf extended deepest condolence to President Goodluck Jonathan and to the people of Nigeria for the irreparable loss sustained.
She further prayed that the Almighty God consoles President Jonathan and the people of Nigeria as they go through their period of mourning.

In another development, the Liberian Leader has congratulated the Government and people of Tanzania on the occasion marking that country’s 53rd Independence Anniversary.

In her congratulatory message to the President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, President Johnson-Sirleaf   extended congratulations to the Government and people of that country.

She said: “As Liberians join the people of Tanzania in celebrating this historic day, she expressed the hope that the cordial and brotherly relations subsisting between the two countries to grow in the years ahead.”
