(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Dec. 17, 2014)-Liberian International forward, Anthony Laffor, proved his skeptics wrong with a brace that inspired Mamelodi Sundowns to a 3-0 win over Martizburg.

The match was played Tuesday evening, December 16, 2014 in continuation of the South African top league.

Laffor, who has had difficult times at the club this season, put behind him the disillusionment to score two goals that moved Sundowns to the second spot on the league table with 28 points after 16 games.

The former LISCR FC striker netted in his first goal in the 49th minute to give his side the most needed lead before adding a second 13 minutes later.

Laffor has had limited playing time at the club, making five substitute appearances plus four starts this season, causing the player to be disillusioned.

The player was withdrawn in the 78th minute after picking up an apparent slight injury.

The current situation with the 27 year old at Mamelodi Sundowns has caught the attention of many suitors, including giants Kiazer Chiefs who seem interested in capturing the signature of the Liberian forward.

One report says Laffor wants a way out of the Sundowns and it seems this might come to pass as his current contract with the club ends in six month time.

There has been no discussion on extending Laffor’s contract at the club as he seems to be keen on a move elsewhere for regular playing time.

But his form in recent matches for Sundowns has left coach Pisto scratching his head. Fans of the club cheered the Liberian forward as he was being substituted in the 78th minute.

Mamelodi Sundowns medical team is expected to come out with a report on Laffor’s injury.
