African Union New members arrives in Liberia

(elbcradio/Liberia/Dec. 17, 2014)-Ninety six new members of the African Union’s support to the Ebola Outbreak in West Africa are expected to arrive in Liberia this week.

The team, comprising all Ethiopian medical practitioners, hygienic and support staffs, will joined their Nigerian counterparts in the African Union response to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia.

ASEOWA Head in Liberia, Julius Oketta, said the team will help their Liberian counterpart and other nationals contributing to the fight against Ebola in the country.

Dr. Oketta said the arrival of the Ethiopians will increase the African Union team in Liberia to 202. 

The team will help in Human coordination, ETU treatment, social mobilization and public health issues, among others, Major General Oketta.
