(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Dec. 19, 2014)-The Election Coordinating Committee (ECC) has frowned at reported cases of violence in the Special Senatorial Election.

A release quotes the ECC as making specific reference to recent scuff between supporters of candidates George Weah and Robert Sirleaf.

The election coordinating group wants candidates in the electoral process exercise responsibility and tolerance as they move about campaigning.

The release also quotes the ECC as having said: “Election creates a platform for candidates to share their political ideologies and to discuss issues that benefit voters.”

The election body wants candidates adhere to rules agreed upon and, conduct themselves and their supporters in a civil manner.

The Committee is meanwhile calling on the electorates to turn out in mass Saturday, December 20 and vote their choices of candidates.
