(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Dec. 20, 2014)-Polling in Liberias 2014 Special Senatorial Election has begun, amidst reported late arrival of election workers at some polling centers across the country.

Our correspondents told elbcradio.com that polling commenced at 8 Oclock this morning (Saturday, December 20), one hour later than the official time set for the commencement of the exercise.

Our Correspondents said: The one hour delay resulted from the reported late arrival of the election workers and setting up of election materials at the centers.

The National Elections Commission (NEC) operational guidelines set 8 Oclock AM and 6 Oclock PM as the official time set for the commencement and closure of polling, respectively throughout the country.

The mid-term election is intended to fill-in vacant seats in the Senate at the National Legislature. The vacancies were created because of the expiration of a 9-year term of some Senators at the upper House.

We will continue updating our millions of readers on the ongoing senatorial election as the exercise unfolds.
