(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Dec. 26, 2014)-Thousands of Christians across Liberia converged at their various places of workshop to thank God for His mercy and grace upon the country for the year (2014).

At the Rock Hill Pillar of Fire Mission Church, the Pastor-In-Charge, Bertha Richards-Nathan, called on Liberians to soberly reflect on the kindest of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Nathan, who spoke on the theme, “Prepare Him a Room” said: “despite difficult times in the country, Liberians must continue having trust in God.”

In his sermon at the New Covenant Outreach Ministries in Sinkor, Rev. Venecious Reeves called on Liberians to use Christmas to reconcile with each other.

Rev. Reeves preached on the theme, “The True Essence of Christmas”.

For his part, the Associated Pastor of the Victory Chapel Temple in Paynesville, Rev. Isaac Peters, said: “Jesus Christ came into the world for the love God has for mankind.”

Meanwhile, three hundred children from various communities in Paynesville received assorted toys as Christmas gifts. The gifts were provided by the Youth Network for Reform.

The Network Executive Director, Andrew Greaves, said: “The gifts were aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the children during the Christmas celebration.”

He said the organization took the gifts to eight targeted communities in Paynesville.

Harmon Field, Weaver Street, Zubah Town and Joe Bar were among the eight communities that benefitted from the Christmas gifts.

Also speaking at the presentation, the Network’s Board Chairman, ERA Jappah, commended parents for allowing their children to celebrate this year’s Christmas, along with their colleagues.
