(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Dec. 30, 2014)-Information Minister, Lewis Brown, has suspended indefinitely the Director General of the Liberia News Agency (LINA), Nagbe Sloh.

In a letter to Mr. Sloh, Minister Brown said: “Your suspension is based on administrative reasons.”

Though circumstances surrounding the suspension of the LINA Director General are unknown, a brief meeting was held between the two men Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Minister’s office.

When contacted, Mr. Sloh refused to comment on the issue, but referred reporters to Minister Brown to comment on his suspension saga.

Meanwhile, University of Liberia Mass Communication Professor, James Wolo, has been appointed as Acting Director General of LINA, pending the return of the Agency’s Boss.

Prior to his suspension, Mr. Sloh has been vocal on pertinent national issues, including the just-ended Special Senatorial Election.

The Liberia News Agency (LINA) is an autonomous news agency of government, with statutory oversight to propagate government’s policies and programs to the Liberian people.
