(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Jan. 12, 2015)-South African Club, Mamelodi Sundowns, is yet to commence negotiation with Liberian forward, Anthony Laffor, over his contract’s extension.

Laffor’s contract with Mamelodi Sundowns is expected to end in June, 2015.

Kickoff.com reports that the Liberian International’s situation has, however, caught the attention of Keizer Chiefs.

In December 2014, Sundowns’ Coach, Pitso Mosimane, expressed desire of keeping Laffor, but Club Spokesman, Kabelo Mosito, says no talk has been held to extend the player’s contract.

Mosito told Kickoff.com that the club will make a decision on the player’s future at the club at the appropriate time.
He said it is too early and Laffor remains a Sundowns player.

The Liberian international has found having enough playing time difficult at Sundowns this season, missing several matches and sometimes playing fever minutes.
It was reported, sometime last year that Laffor is unhappy at Mamelodi Sundowns as he was often left out of several games.

Kaizer Chiefs has been a longtime admirer of the Liberian forward and has been keeping eye on the former Super Sports United man’s situation at Sundowns.

The Chiefs Coach, Stuart Baxter, is a huge fan of Laffor who has made seven appearances for Sundowns in the first half of the season, making two starts and coming off the bench in the other five matches clocking a total time of 275 minutes.

Anthony Laffor joined Sundowns in January 2012 on a three-and-half-year deal from Super Sports United.

There are reports that Sundowns will drop several players this month, but it’s not clear if Laffor is among players on the club’s transfer list during the current transfer window.
