Fire victims appeal for assistance

(, 2015)- Fire victims in Paynesville are appealing to Government, NGO Community, and philanthropic organizations, to assist them rebuild their lives.

A spokesman of the survivors on the 12 Houses Road in Paynesville, Ben Guah, said the fire destroyed properties worth over one hundred thousand Liberian dollars.

Mr.Guah said: “We have nowhere to sleep. So, we are sleeping outside since the incident occurred.”

“If nothing is urgently done to assist us, then, we stand the risk of getting sick, especially during this period of our national health crisis,” he emphasized in tears.

Recently, a fire gutted a 3-apartment building belonging to one of the victims, Ben Guah, in the 12 Houses Road Community in Paynesville, Montserrado County, leaving all the 27 occupants homeless.
