(elbcradio,com/Liberia/Friday, Jan. 19, 2015)-The Management of Action Aid Liberia has pledged its commitment to assist Government in the fight against Ebola in the country.

Action Aid Liberia Program Manager, Jestina Kanneh, said her entity will continue to support Government’s programs in seeking the welfare of its citizenry.

Madam Kanneh made the statement Thursday, January 15, 2015 when Action Aid Liberia donated assorted materials to the Margibi County Ebola Treatment Unit (ETU).

The items included sanitary pads, bed sheets, and cartons of chloral, among others. She said the donation was intended to assist Government in the fight against Ebola.

“The fight against Ebola is important because the virus is a serious threat to human existence,” Madam Kanneh said.
The Action Aid Program Manager urged health workers to take the Ebola preventative measures seriously in the discharge of their duties.

Receiving the items, the Head of Emergency Psycho-social Coordinator of the International Medical Corps, Dr. Fredreka Feuchte, praised Action Aid Liberia for the donation and appealed to other charitable organizations to follow suit.

Dr. Feuchte said:” The Margibi ETU has made a significant progress since its establishment in November, 2014.”

Statistics of health authorities have rated Margibi as one of the counties worst hit by Ebola in the country.
