UNDP Administrator, Helen Clark arrived Liberia

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Feb. 13, 2015)-The Administrator of the United Nations Development Programs (UNDP), Helen Clark, has arrived in Liberia on a four-day visit.

Madam Clark said the UNDP’s objective is to ensure that Ebola is eradicated from Ebola affected countries. The UN official made the statement Friday, February 13, 2015 upon arrival at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County. 

 
She also said: “While in the country, I will access the level of progress being made in the fight against the epidemic.”

The third ranking UN Official described Ebola as a dangerous virus that must be fought by all stakeholders. Madam Clark commended the Liberian Government and partners’ efforts in the fight against the pandemic.

The UN Administrator is expected to meet with the UN System in Liberia, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and the Ebola Incident Management System, as well as the donor community during her stay in the country.
