Pro-Tempore Jallah reaffirms Senate, Executive relations

(elbcradio.com/Mar. 4, 2015)-The President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate has reaffirmed the Senate’s commitment to work along with the Executive Branch of Government to achieve the national development agenda.

Senator Armah Jallah said he was convinced that both the Senate and the Executive Branches of government have similar development agenda and assured that the Senate will help make it workable for the Liberian people.

The President Pro-Tempore made the statement Monday, March 2, 2015 when he spoke on reconciliation at the St. Monica Catholic Parish in Bopolu City during a Thanksgiving Service.

The Thanksgiving Service was held in honor of President Pro-Tempore Jallah.

Senator Jallah maintained that the Senate was not divided as perceived by some members of the public, noting: “The issue of election at the Senate is over and that the Senate belongs to every member of the august body.”

At the same time, the President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate has donated L$200,000.00 towards a Student Support School Fee Fund Drive in Gbarpolu County.

The Fund Drive is to assist students of the primary, Junior and Senior High School divisions in the County, with emphasis on private institutions in the county.

He acknowledged the difficulties parents are being faced with, amid government’s pronouncement regarding the reopening of schools through Liberia.

The Gbarpolu Senator disclosed plans of establishing a vocational institution in the county to train the youth in various vocations.

The President Pro-Tempore made the donation Monday, March 2, 2015 at the St. Monica Catholic Parish in Bopolu City during a Thanksgiving Service.
