(Elbcradio.com/March 11, 2015)-A United States-based civil society organization, the Clinton Foundation, has been praised for its advocacy role toward women empowerment.

Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, said the Clinton Foundation, has over the years, championed the cause for women empowerment against social inequality with their male counterparts.

President Sirleaf described the Foundation’s recent Report on Women Empowerment titled: “Not There Yet: A Data-Driven Analysis of Gender Equality,” as timely and impressive.

She called for formidable action towards the actualization of gender equality and the promotion of the well-being of women globally.

According to a dispatch, the Liberian Leader made the remarks recently when she served as Chief Launcher of the Clinton Foundation Report at the Best Buy Theatre in New York, the United States of America.

She said the Report gives a vivid account of what has been achieved since the Beijing Conference took place 20 years ago.

It also provides an insight into the gaps, as well as measures the world’s performance in achieving the goals established in Beijing, China.

President Sirleaf said several reform processes have been carried out with laws instituted to give more economic power to women.

She noted: “As a consequence of this, more women in different parts of the world are now in Parliament; while others are competing vigorously in professional areas of science and business once dominated by men.”

President Sirleaf stressed: “Despite these gains, the gaps are clearer; the Global Community must endeavor to eradicate social inequality and enhance women’s participation in development processes.”

At the same time, the President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kifarac, said the promotion of women's rights, as well as the creation of opportunities for the utilization of their potentials, is vital to the advancement of every society.

President Grabar-Kifarac emphasized, “No effort should be spared towards championing women empowerment.

She made the statement recently when she served as Co-Launcher of the Clinton Foundation Report in New York, the United States.

The Bill, Hilary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation launched "No Ceiling: The Full Participation Project” in 2013 to advance and inspire the full participation of women and girls around the world.
