Foreign Diplomats ask to explore economic cooperation

(elbcradio.com/Marc. 27, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has called on Diplomatic Missions in Liberia to explore economic areas of cooperation.

She said: “Liberia is endowed with natural resources, including iron and suitable business environment.”

“It is about time that friendly nations utilize these resources to explore economic actives in Liberia for mutual benefits of their respective governments.” the Liberian Leader said.

President Sirleaf told the Ambassadors of Switzerland, Turkey and Russia Thursday, March 26, 2015 when they presented their Letters of Credence to President Sirleaf at the Foreign Ministry in Monrovia.

The Ambassadors of Switzerland, Turkey and Russia accredited to Liberia, Thomas Listchen, Nesrin Bayazit and Dmitry Suslov, recounted the excellent ties with Liberia over the years.

They expressed their unwavering support to Liberia for the realization of their common objectives and to foster greater cooperation.

The Ambassadors have therefore, pledged their commitments toward the consolidation of their respective ties with Liberia.

At the same time, Columbian Ambassador accredited to Liberia, Claudia Quintero assured the Government and people of Liberia of her government’s determination to support Liberia achieve its development agenda.

Also in separate remarks, the Ambassador assured President Sirleaf of their governments’ preparedness to strengthen their bilateral ties.

Consistent with international diplomacy, the accreditation of foreign missions is characterized by political goodwill and interests to explore new areas of cooperation.
