Dr. Kateh said:” The tour is intended to identify problems and gaps in the health sector of the various counties for possible solutions.”

“The tour will begin with Lofa County, the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak in Liberia,” he said.

Dr. Kateh called on Liberians to remain vigilant in the wake of the new count - down to declare Liberia Ebola free. He assured Liberians not to panic, as the country is prepared to rapidly respond to any case of Ebola or other infectious diseases.

The pending tour is indicative of Government’s post-Ebola health recovery program.Recently, the Government of Liberia announced a ten-year plan to revamp its health sector.

The Ebola virus claimed the lives of Liberians due to the weak health system, coupled with capacity and logistical challenges, among others.
