Prez. Sirleaf condoles Ethiopian Government and people

(elbcradio.com/Apr. 23, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the Ethiopian Government and people for the murder of 28 Ethiopian Christians.

Affiliates of the ISIL terrorist group in Libya is being blamed for the murder of the 28 Ethiopian Christians.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Johnson-Sirleaf made the statement Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in her message to her Ethiopian counterpart, Dr. Mulatu Wirtu.

In the message, the President extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of the North African state, especially to the bereaved families, for the irreparable loss sustained.

A Foreign Ministry release quotes the Liberian Leader as saying the Liberian Government and people were prepared to stand by their Ethiopian counterparts in solidarity and friendship.

She said doing such further demonstrates the long-standing ties between Liberia and Ethiopia as the latter observes its period of national mourning for those murdered by the ISIL terrorist group in Libya.

President Johnson-Sirleaf then prayed that God grants Dr. Wirtu and the Ethiopian people strength, courage and fortitude during their difficult period.
