(elbcradio.com/Apr. 25, 2015)-The four remaining Liberian girls allegedly trafficked to Lebanon have been repatriated.

The Liberia Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force says upon the girls’ return, they were taken to a safe home, where they joined ten others earlier rescued and repatriated from Lebanon.

According to a release, the girls will receive psychosocial support and routine medical check-ups to ensure they are in good health.

The Task Force said: “Keeping the girls in safe homes is important as government collects testimonies to help with the prosecution of the alleged human traffickers.”

The Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force wants families of the girls and the media protect their identities to avoid them being stigmatized. Meanwhile, the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force is assuring Liberians that the prosecution of the alleged perpetrators is in process.

The Task Force says the Liberian government is working along with the Lebanese Community in Liberia and other stakeholders to speed up the legal process.
