EU identifies priority areas in Liberias Post Recovery Plan

(elbcradio.com/May 5, 2015)-The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation visiting Liberia says the EU has identified four priority areas towards the country’s post recovery plan.

Ambassador Tina Interlman puts the priority area projection at €100-million in Energy, Education, Agriculture and Good Governance for completion before 2016.

He made the statement Tuesday, May 5, 2015 when he appeared on the ELBC Super Morning Show in Paynesville.

The European Union Delegation Head maintained: “The EU still sees corruption as a stumbling block to Liberia’s development and therefore needs strengthened capacity to tackle the menace.”

Ambassador Interlman reaffirmed the EU’s unwavering support to the country’s legal system as part of its long-term plan in the fight against corruption.
