Prez Sirleaf visits south-eastern Liberia

(elbcradio.com/May 14, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is in Barclayville, Grand Kru County, in continuation of her four-day official visit to South-eastern Liberia.

President Johnson-Sirleaf‘s visit to Sinoe and Grand Kru Counties is intended to meet with the leadership of the two counties regarding the hosting of Liberia’s July 26, 2015 Independence Anniversary.

In route to the region, she inspected ongoing works on the Rivercess – Sinoe road, being rehabilitated by a private road construction firm, Solid Rock, and the Armed Forces of Liberia’s Engineering Battalion.

Upon arrival in the provincial capital of Sinoe County, Greenville, President Johnson-Sirleaf visited the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court building to be officially dedicated during the up-coming Independence Day celebration. 

She also toured the Presidential Guest House and the J. Dominic Bing City Hall, currently under renovation for the celebrations.
President Sirleaf and delegation are expected back in Monrovia Saturday, May 16.

In remarks at the immediate past Independence Anniversary celebration in Tubmanburg, Bomi County, the Liberian Leader named Sinoe and Grand Kru Counties as co-hosts of this year’s anniversary celebrations.
