(elbcradio.com/May 15, 2015)-The Forestry Development Authority (FDA) says it has put forth 15 fulltime scholarships for students of the Nimba County Community College.

According to Deputy FDA Managing Director, Darlington Tuagben, the scholarships are mainly intended for students of the Nimba County Community college majoring in Natural Resource Management and Forestry.

Mr. Tuagben, said 2.5 grade point average remains a minimum primary qualification for students wishing to benefit from the FDA scholarship scheme.

Through joint effort by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), FDA and the Red Cross, funding from the Norwegian Government will facilitate the scheme, he also said.

The Liberia News Agency (LINA) said the disclosure was made recently by Conservation International (CI) when the organization opened its first sub-office in Liberia.

CI has its offices at the Nimba County Community College in the county’s provincial Capital, Saniquellie.
