Lofa County petitions VP Boakai

(elbcradio.com/May 18, 2015)-Lofa County Citizens have petitioned Vice President, Joseph Boakai, to contest the Presidency in 2017.

The Citizens, in their petition, said: “The County has produced two vice Presidents and now was the time to produce a President.”

In response, Vice President Boakai promised to decide on the petition Friday, May 22, 2015.
The Vice President is currently visiting Lofa County to thank the citizens for their resilience in defeating the Ebola virus in the county.

Amidst the citizens’ petition, it is not clear whether or not Vice President Boakai will be endorsed by his current political party, the Unity Party, if he accepts the petition.
