(elbcradio.com/May 26, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says following the declaration of Liberia as Ebola free, the Government adopted a regional approach in the eradication of the virus.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said the objective of the regional approach is to ensure that neighboring countries, including Sierra Leone and Guinea, are equally free from the virus.

The Liberian Leader made the statement Monday, May 25, 2015 when she addressed an African Development Bank (ADB) Meeting in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said the virus has had devastating impact on the country, leaving major institutions venerable.

She, however, said based on support received from the country’s international partners, some of the institutions affected by the virus are being revived.

The President said to keep the momentum as an Ebola free country, the fight has been turned to community initiatives for communities to ensure that the virus is forever contained.
