Prez Sirleaf extolled for building Chancery in Abidjan

(elbcradio.com/May 27, 2015)-Liberia’s Ambassador to La Côte d’Ivoire, Johnny McClain, is commending President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for approving the construction of a Chancery in Abidjan.

Ambassador McClain said the idea would alleviate rent payment and other expenses by the embassy.

He made the statement Sunday, May 24, 2015 when President Johnson-Sirleaf and delegation arrived in Abidjan, La Cote d’Ivoire to attend the 54th Anniversary of the African Development Bank (ADB) Group.

The meeting will also include the election of the Bank's 8th President and the formal admission of South Sudan as its 54th regional member country and its 80th global member. It is expected to run from Monday to Friday, May 25 to 29, 2015.

Welcoming the President and delegation to the premises of the Liberian Embassy in Abidjan, Ambassador McClain commended the Liberian leader for providing conducive environment for the Embassy’s staff and a structure to conduct the affairs of the mission in La Côte d’Ivoire.

According to a dispatch, Ambassador McClain further noted that the development of the country’s foreign missions is not just the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ business, but a project of the Liberian President.
