(elbcradio.com/June 3, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has submitted a bill to the House of Representatives through House Speaker, Alex Tyler.

The bill, seeking the dissolution of some “dormant” government functionaries, was submitted, on behalf of President Johnson-Sirleaf, by Finance and Development Planning Minister, Amara Konneh.

the institutions involved are the  National Free Zone Authority, National Insurance Company of Liberia, and the National Food Assistance Program. Others include the Liberia Produce Marketing Corporation, Bureau of State Enterprises and the Liberia-Libyan Holding Company.

The Bill was submitted to Speaker Tyler Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Capital Building, the official home of the National Legislature in Monrovia.

The submission of the Bill coincided with the presentation of the 2015/2016 Draft National Budget to the lawmakers.

Deputy Minister Kollie said the step was necessary considering the financial constraints the government is being faced with.
