(elbcradio.com/June 9, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf wants world leaders and global actors take steps in 2015 to end world hunger, poverty and suffering.

A dispatch from Munich, Germany said President Johnson-Sirleaf made the call in her address to thousands of politicians, musicians, peace activists, celebrities and civil society leaders.

The group had gathered at a public mobilization and poverty eradication outdoor event in the German city.
She described 2015 is a “pivotal” year to change the future of the world’s people.

The Liberian Leader also said the decisions and actions global leaders and actors will collectively take in the next few months will go a long way in determining whether development continues, or stalls.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said world leaders  will, at the United Nations General Assembly in September, adapt a new agenda by  building on the Millenium Development Goals.

The new agenda’s adaptation will establish global goals for sustainable development to be achieved within the next 15 years.

In July, important decisions will be taken at the Finance Development Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia when nations, both rich and poor, will demonstrate commitment to adopting policies and investing resources in the New World Order, the Liberian President added.
