Liberia and neighbors hold conference on Ebola study

(elbcradio.com/June 11, 2015)-A two-day regional conference, to explore possibility of expanding the Phase 3 component of the ongoing Ebola Vaccines Clinical study has opened in the Guinean Capital, Conakry.

The Phase 3 component of the Ebola Vaccines Clinical study conference, ongoing in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, opened Thursday, June 11, 2015.

A delegation of Liberian physicians, scientists, and clinical researchers will meet with their Sierra Leonean and Guinean counterparts to seek collaboration and cooperation on vaccines and therapeutic clinical trials against the Ebola Virus.

Such collaboration and cooperation on vaccines and therapeutic clinical trials will be sought through a multi-country regional strategy.

The Liberian delegation, headed by the Chair of National Case Management at the Health Ministry, Moses Massaquoi, also includes Liberia’s Principal Investigator for the Z-Mapp clinical trial, among others.
