Margibi trains 900 health volunteers

(elbcradio.com/June 13, 2015)-The Margibi County Health Team has embarked on training over 900 General Community Health Volunteers across the county.

The training is being supported by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is aimed at enhancing volunteers’ capacities to keep surveillance on people’s activities in the various communities.

According to our correspondent, the Margibi County Disease and Surveillance Officer, Leroy Massimore, as saying, the trainees will watch against unhealthy behaviors of residents in an effort to keep Liberia Ebola free.

Our correspondent quotes Mr. Massimore as saying over nine hundred volunteers, including teachers, students and young people, are being targeted.
