(elbcradio.com/June 16, 2015)-LBS Deputy Director General for Media Services, Patrick Honnah, is urging Liberian students to pay keen attention and take advantage of the learning opportunity they now have.

Mr. Honnah also wants students fully utilize the opportunity and prioritize education now to prepare themselves for future leadership roles.

He said sitting in class is an opportunity, stressing: “School days are the best days.”

The LBS Deputy Director-General spoke Tuesday, June 16, 2015 when he served as Key-Note Speaker at the observance of the Day of the African Child at the Spiritan Academy in Monrovia.

Mr. Honnah also wants parents prioritize the education of their children.

Also speaking, the Principal of the Spiritan Academy, Kaykay Nah, said the observance of the Day of the African Child every April 16, has been marked as a tradition by his institution since its inception in 2008.

Mr. Nah said the Day remains important, because it brings to memory hundreds of children killed in the Soweto Uprising in 1976 and raises awareness on the need for quality education for the children.-
