Ellen back home, calls for womens involvement

(elbcradio.com/Liberia/Wed. June 18, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has returned home after participating in the 25th Ordinary Summit of the African Union (AU) in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The just-ended AU Summit was held under the theme, ”Year of Women’s Empowerment and Development Towards  Africa’s Agenda for 2063.”

While in South Africa, President Sirleaf led the advocacy for women empowerment and urged African governments to allow greater reforms to improve women’s involvements at all levels of governance.

Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader has officially turned over the Chairmanship of the African Peer Review Mechanism Forum to Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, consistent with its mandate.
