( 20,2015)-Domestic soccer actions will resume this weekend at several venues in Liberia when the LFA National First and Second Division Championship Chase continues.

Defending champions, Barrack Young Controllers (BYC), continues searching their first win of the season as they face Jubilee FC in Saturday’s only match at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.

BYC will go into the match without several key players, shown red cards when they played against Invisible Eleven (IE), last weekend.
BYC, commonly called Blue Warriors, will also be without striker, Dave Harmon, defenders Alvin McCornel and Alpha James, as well as goalkeeper, Nathaniel Sherman, because they are on International duty.

The four players are part of the local-base National Team, Lone Star, in Mali, where Liberia is due to play Guinea in the qualifying rounds of the African Nations Championship.

Game will also come on at the under construction Nimba United field in Mount Barclay, where the Mountainers host Liberia’s Darling Club, IE.
Both IE and Nimba United are also searching for a first win of the season in Group A after they have played two matches, each.

In Central Monrovia, Monrovia Club Breweries and Watanga FC will battle in the only top flight match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
There will also be several actions Sunday at various venues.

Free scoring Keitrace FC will be fighting to maintain their 100% record in the league when they will engage the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) Oilers squad at the ATS.

Keitrace leads Group B with six points and nine goals from two matches, while Oilers remain in search of a first win. Oilers’ deadly striker, James Soto Roberts, will be missing as he had traveled with the Liberian team to Bamako.

Also, FC Fassell and Aries FC will clash for a first win at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium in Kakata. LISCR FC and the National Port Authority squad, NPA Anchors, will battle for control of the second spot in Group B when they meet at the ATS.

There will also be several second division fixtures at the weekend at various venues. ELWA United will play new boys Sesay FC in Friday’s first second division match at the ATS.

Joy Conquerors and BYC II will face off in Friday’s last match at the same venue. Mighty Blue Angels will play host to Small Town FC Sunday at the Unification Town field in Margibi County.

In Kakata, Mighty Barrolle and Bong County-based club, Mighty Dragons, will knock horns in a match that promises to be entertaining Sunday. Gardnerville FC and Holder FC will meet in the weekend’s other division fixture at the Unification Town sports pitch.
