(elbcradio.com/June 20, 2015)-Japanese Ambassador to Liberia says the re-commencement of the Japan International Cooperation Agency projects marks the beginning of more future economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, Ambassador Kaoru Yoshimura lauded the Liberian Government’s demonstration of “great commitment” to ensuring the wellbeing of its people.

He re-committed Japan’s continued support towards endeavors to advance Liberia’s development agenda.

The release further quotes the Japanese envoy as saying: “The outbreak of Ebola in Liberia has presented a difficult situation for Liberians and development partners, especially in areas of project implementation.”

He made the statement Wednesday, June 18, 2015 in Monrovia at ceremonies marking the resumption of Japanese-sponsored projects in Liberia.

Ambassador Kaoru then hoped that the Liberian Government and people will accord them hospitality and needed support to enable them successfully implement the projects.
