(elbcradio.com/Wed., June 22, 2015)-A Liberian business executive is calling on government to ensure the vigorous enforcement of the Liberalization Policy.

The Proprietor of the Chible Business Center in Paynesville, Elise Chible, said unless the Liberalization Policy is enforced by stakeholders, Liberian businesses will continue to experience acute difficulties in growth and sustainability.

Mr. Chible said: “Competition between Liberian businesses and their foreign counterparts is virtually low due to unequal advantages in the sector.”
“Low capital and high interest rates on loans are some of the major issues affecting most Liberian businesses,” he emphasized.

Mr. Chible wants government intervene through the Central Bank of Liberia by ensuring that commercial banks reduce interest rates to bring great relief to Liberian businesses.
He made the statement Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in an interview with LBS Online.
