Prez Sirleaf makes new appointments

(elbcradio.com/June 26, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has made a number of new appointments in Government.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate where applicable.

Those appointed Thursday, June 25, 2015 in Monrovia are JaunitaTraub-Bropleh - Deputy Minister for Lands and Rail, Ellen O. Pratt- Deputy Minister for Industry and Inspector General.

Others appointed by President Johnson-Sirleaf are Bako Freeman, - Managing Director of the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), Willard Russell and former Margibi County Senator, Clarice Jah, -Members, Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC) Board of Directors.

The two newly appointed LPRC Board Members replace Rev. Emmanuel Bowier and Nohn Kidau.

At the Ministry of Information, Lynne George Cassell, Jacqueline Capehart and Wellington Geevon Smith have been appointed Assistant Ministers for Administration, Tourism and Information Services, respectively.

Assistant Minister, Albert Jaja, has been named Minister Counselor, Press and Public Affairs at the Liberia Embassy in London, England.

Meanwhile, the Liberian Leader has dissolved the position of Deputy Minister for Technical Services and Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism at the Information Ministry.

An Executive Mansion release said Deputy Ministers, Robert Kpadeh, and Elizabeth Hoff, are being considered for possible reassignments and roles, consistent with their expertise.
