The organization is conducting the exercise in the country’s southeast, where the 2015 official Independence Day Celebration will take place.

LACE Executive Director, Julius Sele, told elbconline that they have inspected a market structure in Sinoe County, schools in Grand Kru County, a library project in Maryland County, among other undertakings. The projects are being implemented by lawmakers of the three counties.

According to Mr. Sele, LACE is doing the inspection in collaboration with local county authorities.
He wants locals take ownership of the initiatives, saying: “The essence of the exercise is to benefit the ordinary people.

Mr. Sele also told our reporter that most of the projects will be completed by the end of August, 2015, and attributed delays in the projects’ implementation to procurement processes.-
