(elbcradio.com/July 13, 2015)-Labor Minister, Neto Liegh, says Liberia has become a decent work country, following the passage of the Decent Work Bill by the National Legislature.

“The passage of the bill places Liberia among the few countries that have adopted all international labor standards relating to workforce,” Minister Liegh said.

He said the Act focuses on many other issues, including employment and dismissal, as well as occupational health and safety at work places.

Minister Liegh also noted that the Ministry has concluded discussions with members of the merchandize sector to have more Liberians employed than foreign nationals.

He made the statement Monday, July 13, 2015 when he appeared on State Radio, ELBC in Paynesville.

The Labor Ministry Boss said the issue of the ECOWAS Biometric Identification Work Permits will soon be concluded.
