(elbcradio.com/July 16, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson–Sirleaf says the Liberian Government has decided cut in pay, gasoline and scratch cards allotted to government officials.

According to President Johnson-Sirleaf, the Government took the decision to direct the resources to adequately benefit the citizens of the country.

A report reaching our desk quotes the Liberian Leader as saying her salary and that of Vice President, Joseph Boakai, have already been cut.

The President made the pronouncement Wednesday, July 15, 2015 following her return home from the International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

But opposition politician, Winston Tubman, has spoken critically of the pay cut decision.

We’ll bring you the detail in our subsequent publication.
