(elbcradio.com/July 20, 2015)-The three worst Ebola-affected countries of the Mano River Union have resolved to implement a robust social and economic recovery program.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf told reporters that the program will provide the platform of moving from emergency to stabilization.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “The program aims to build on lessons- learnt from the successful partnership government established during the Ebola response.”

President Johnson-Sirleaf made the statement recently in New York, where she attend the global conference geared at rallying support to the three worst Ebola-affected countries in West Africa.

She noted: “It is a process that is fully aligned with the countries’ national development plans.”

The Liberian Leader also said the program further seeks to ensure that the local healthcare system’s capacity is restored and strengthened to deliver the needed services.
