Unity is critical to Liberias development - Prez. Sirleaf

( 25, 2015)- President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is calling on Liberians to continue on the path of unity for the development of the country.

The Liberian Leader noted: “In the absence of togetherness and a sense of one purpose, the much anticipated national recovery of the nation will not be achieved.”

She praised the citizens of Grand Kru for demonstrating a high spirit of enthusiasm, characterized by their massive Liberian construction companies to showcase their talents,” the President.

President Sirleaf made the observation Saturday, July 25, 2015 when she dedicated the newly-constructed 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Barclayville, Grand Kru County.

She disclosed that the nation-wide Independence Day celebrations are primarily intended to fulfill government’s agenda to decentralize development programs across the country. 

The Liberian Chief Executive told the Grand Kru citizens: “Do not be weary in undertaking development projects in your county.”

At the same time, President Sirleaf pledged government’s commitment and unwavering support to empowering local talents in the on-going development of the country.

“Government has already begun awarding contracts to Liberian construction companies,” the President said.
The newly- dedicated 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Grand Kru was constructed by a Liberian-owned company, the Gbowee Construction Company.

In remarks, Chief Justice, Francis Kporkpor, described the construction of the 12th Judicial Circuit Court in Barclayville as a milestone in Liberia’s judicial system.
