(elbcradio.com/July 29, 2015)-Grand Gedeh County Superintendent, Peter Solo, says Liberia’s 2016 Independence Day Celebrations will exceed the 2015 celebrations.

Superintendent Solo told reporters in Grand Kru County recently that Grand Gedeh County has overwhelmingly accepted the opportunity and is prepared to host the country’s 169th Independence Day Celebration.

While praising his Grand Kru and Sinoe County counterparts for the just-ended grand celebrations, Superintendent Solo assured that Grand Gedeh County will shortly begin preparations for the pending occasion.

Maryland and River Gee Counties will co-host the 169th Independence Day Celebration while Grand Gedeh will be the fete’s main host.

Also speaking to this station in Grand Kru County, Montserrado County Superintendent, Florence Brandy, expressed delight over the opportunity to visit the southeastern region of Liberia.

Superintendent Brandy said she was impressed with progress in the two southeastern counties and emphasized: “I am confident that more can be achieved in the two areas.”

The Independence Celebrations assembled thousands of people, including citizens and foreign nationals alike in the southeastern part of Liberia.
