(elbcradio.com/Aug. 5,2015)-Bridge Liberia, an education NGO has hosted a Party to the 168th Independence Day of Liberia recently to put smile on the faces of ‘Love A Child Orphanage and School’kids.

One of Bridge Liberia in-country Director J. Folley Kromah reiterated   call for  more educational support to be directed at  the needy orphans’ welfare and schooling.

Bridge Liberia, is one of a singular sponsor and currently sponsoring two of Love A Child students and also providing support to another Christian Foundation School in Ghanta, Nimba County.
   
‘Love A Child Orphanage and School’, located about 30 minutes’ drive outside Monrovia in Gbangba Town,  where the group has obtained one acres of land, has completed a Dormitory Hall and still constructing a building of several large class rooms.

The organization established March 1998 by a visionary and an administrator, Mother Rebecca Wreh and her husband, said they have come a long way trying to achieve the desires goals with a vision to help transform less fortunate Liberian war affected and family rejected children.

With an increase to more than 30 orphans,  Mother Rebecca Wreh said: “My husband and I, our efforts for years  is not appreciative of  Government in our drive  to transform and provide dignified life for the children  like any of their colleagues receiving parental love and support”.

Still holding unto her burning desire Mother Wreh, appeared overwhelmed with the lack of support from the Ministry of Education in   realizing the orphans’ dream come true.

During a tour of the facility, the Orphanage’s Administrator said: “We realized that the life of the children was incomplete without education.”

She stated that: “We later on provided a ten- class room’s temporary school structure hosting kindergarten to junior high while soliciting support from philanthropists, thanks to one of them who built for us the dormitory in used today”.

Mother Wreh said out of 126 students with 15 teachers so far they have brought up two students in 11th Grade with one in college with sponsorship through the grade school level without support.

The temporary school structure which is a main project is experiencing a deplorable conduction, which has become a huge challenge that could stampede the future of thousands of students and orphans in the area.

Mother Wreh then called on well-wishers to come to assist them in the sponsoring of the orphans/students as well the payment of salaries of teachers, otherwise the fate of these underprivileged children would hangs in the balance.

She appealed for government, private individuals and organizations’ attention be drawn to find a lasting solution to the orphans and school’s plight.
